Heat up the Summer!


Well I guess summer has finally arrived in New England. It is a hot day at our offices here. Work related travel has slowed down some for the time being. Of course we are always setting our sights ahead to the next big event...or two!

So this fall (October 2007) we are headed back to Florida. We will be in both Key West and Orlando respectively. Adult Novelty Company and Simple Desires representatives will be headed to both Bear Bust and Fantasy Fest this October.

This weeks planing meeting focused on getting ready for both of these events. This was the first in a series of planning meetings that will be focused on both of these large events. For those who are wondering, our planning meetings are in typical laid back New England fashion. Sometimes around a campfire with great food, great drinks, and great minds. It is out of these type of meetings that some of our greatest ideas grow and come to fruition.

My role here in this company is nothing like what you would imagine a corporate position to be. For one, every day is casual Friday and some days we stretch the limit of what is "casual attire." The only time we are subject to a dress code is at some events. At those times, the dress code is a "What's Your Fetish?" t-shirt. Yes I love my job. On the downside, we don't really slow down in the summer like some jobs. There is always planning for the next event and we keep growing our company. Growth is aparently a lot of work!

The Fun Continues In Jacksonville (FL)




I am out on my own now, but I remain on the road and now visiting Jacksonville (FL). As always, having a great time and giving out discounts. Look for me with the red "What's Your Fetish?" shirt. You can still also find other representatives in Orlando. It seems you just can't get some people out of Orlando...lol.

During this leg of the trip we visited some bars in Jacksonville and we also made a brief visit to Club Jacksonville.

We were impressed with the safe sex nature of Club Jacksonville. In fact, the health department van was parked out front on the night we were there. What an amazing service they provide. Sex positive people can be so fun and safe.

What Happens in Orlando......



Well what is that adage? "What a long strange trip it has been!" Of course by "strange" we mean good.

For those of you who didn't know, it was Gay Days in Orlando this week/weekend. Adult Novelty Company and Simple Desires representatives were in force at many of the events. We gave out over 1,000 discounts to our old and new friends.

As you know, by reading this blog, the representatives in red "What's Your Fetish?" shirts had discounts to give out to people. When all was said and done, over 1,000 people received discounts.

We know our customers like to save money and many people shop with us just for our competitive prices, free shipping, and price compare program. For us, however, the most exciting part of our trip was hearing about all the fetishes people in our community enjoy.

We don't make people tell us their fetishes to get the discount, they simply spot the red shirt and ask that sales team member for a discount. It does seem, however, that people really want to share them with us anyway and we do love to hear them. I have learned that sex positive people can be so creative and fun.

We pride ourselves on discretion in this business, but people are always eager to share their tips with other like minded and sex positive people. So...Shh..it seems Mickey Mouse isn't the only on with a Magic Kingdom. Oh my what a hot trip this was. I mean...work, work, work..... Look for some tips to spice things up at Simple Desires.
