The Mathew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act (S. 1105) would add Sexual Orientation, Gender, Gender Identity, and Disability to the current Hate Crimes statutes. This bill would only apply to violent attacks based on the victim's gender, sexual orientation, disability or gender identity.
